The Education Foundation Sponsors Iris van Herpen: Transforming Fashion at Carnegie Museum of Art
Iris van Herpen, a stunning fashion designer displays 15 works of art from her collection in Iris van Herpen: Transforming Fashion at the Carnegie Museum of Art (CMOA) in Pittsburgh (the exhibit’s easternmost U.S. venue). Not only does The Education Foundation award scholarships and sponsor academic programs, but they contribute to community involvement and advance education by supporting the arts for the greater good. Van Herpen was fascinated by the interplay of magnetic forces, saying:
“I find beauty in the continual shaping of chaos, which clearly
embodies the primordial power of nature’s performance.”
Carnegie Museum of Art enriches people’s lives through art. The museum is committed to global engagement and regional advancement. Jonathan Gaugler from the Carnegie Museum of Art shared these words, “CMOA is delighted by Pittsburgh’s enthusiastic response to Iris van Herpen: Transforming Fashion. We’re grateful to The Education Foundation for helping to bring this stunning exhibition to the museum.” The Education Foundation is happy to support this mutual commitment by providing opportunities to those who want to learn, improve, and succeed.
This exhibition begins on February 4, 2017, and ends May 1, 2017. Do not miss it!
